Question maybe its a fuel pump maybe its a ?

Hey everyone i could use some help i have an 88 mustang 5.0 and i think my fuel pump went out. when i turn the key it sounds like it wants to start but wont start. i dont hear anything coming from the back anymore so i think its the pump.but that leads to my next question where is it? is it inside the tank where i have to drop the whole thing or in front of it. when a fuel pump is going out does it give any warning sings ? my starter is good my alt is good . I am no car expert thats for sure. can some one please help me i miss my baby.

I'd check the relay first. I'm not sure on the location though.
